I was impressed by the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus and its wall-climbing capabilities. It ensures a perfect clean, and therefore worth the investment.

After installing an inground pool just in time for summer, I knew I needed something to clean it. I went all out with this pool - diving board, slide, even adding a heater, so after all this money I spent, I knew I needed to take care of it.

A couple people recommended a pool man, but I was trying to save money for a bit so decided I needed a pool cleaner. My mom dubbed it Mister Scrubber, so that’s gonna be the name I’ll use here. I hope my review helps you find what you're looking for.

COST CONSIDERATIONS:

I started looking locally for a Mister Scrubber, and my goodness, were the prices out of control or what? Like average is two grand! And sure, they did have some advanced aspects like fast turn radius and remote controls, but I didn’t need all that. Some of them were also dressed as animals? That was odd, but you get my point.

WHY I CHOSE IT:

When I finally found my Mister Scrubber, boy was I happy! I considered a lot of different factors before deciding on this model. I knew I wanted a brand that should there be any issues, I could service it locally, so I eventually narrowed it down to three options, and this is my reasoning for deciding to choose the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus. Also, the next day delivery of this unit was free, so, for the price, I figured it was a great value. Moreover, all the positive reviews were accurate, which means they were likely real, which is just a nice thing to know.

EASY HANDLING:

First, the weight and size of this model were reasonable enough that I wouldn’t have any issues putting it in or removing it on my own. That was important, because I work remotely and the kids are at school while my wife works in an office, I knew I was going to be the only person putting this in and out of the pool.

CLEANING FEATURES:

The second reason was pretty big. A lot of the pumps I researched required that I get an additional pump to use them, and this one didn’t require that. So, yeah, I love that this cleaner didn’t need another pump and that it managed to clean the ledges, steps, walls, and even the floors without any issue! It also came preassembled which was just a really nice perk. The filters on this one were effortless to remove and clean so that was really nice, too. And I love how the long cord allowed Mister Scrubber to reach all corners of my pool. I also really love how the parts I needed to replace it were available when I needed them. And this included there being a warranty, which was cool.

SMART NAVIGATION:

One of my favorite factors was the computer chip included in Mister Scrubber. The chip allows Mister Scrubber to map the layout of the entire of the pool so it knows where the edges are, including the steps and ledges. This way Mister Scrubber knows where it has cleaned and makes sure it covers the remaining areas. Best thing is that I've had zero issues so far. The smart navigation has worked better than I hoped it would.

CLEANING SPEED:

Mister Scrubber cleaned my whole pool in under two hours believe it or not! And then it turned itself off, which was awesome.

COSTUMER SERVICE:

After ordering Mister Scrubber, he arrived quickly the following day, and I couldn’t be happier! However, after throwing Mister Scrubber into the pool, I was disappointed to find that he wasn’t working. Unfortunately he arrived broken and the wheels didn’t work. I was disappointed to say the least. However, after contacting Amazon back, they not only gave me a return label to ship it back, but sent over a brand new Mister Scrubber the very next day! Oh, and did I mention that they actually picked up the broken Mister Scrubber to make my life easier? Seriously amazing customer service.

STAIR CLEANING:

When he cleans the stairs, there’s a tiny bit of sand residue, but it’s barely noticeable compared to how well it cleans the rest of it.

STORAGE:

I would recommend buying the stand for storage although it’s sold separately. It allows you to have a place to safely store the battery, the chord and gives Mister Scrubber a little stand to rest on. How cool!

SIX YEAR REVIEW:

I’ve gotten a lot of requests for updates on Mister Scrubber, so here it is! Six years later, Mister Scrubber and I are still very much in love. He’s kept my pool clean and sparkling all this time! The power button is wearing down and I have to push on it really hard, but after all this time, considering that’s the only issue, I think that’s to be expected.
